Capital Line South Phase 1 Extension

The Capital Line South Phase 1, which is a 4.5 km extension project, brings rapid transit service to new neighbourhoods, supporting sustainable mobility options and relief from congested roads for travellers. As an extension to an existing system, the planning and procurement for the project requires careful consideration of system integration, vehicle procurement, and infrastructure works, including two stations, two bridges, a new Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF), a park and ride facility, and over 30 LRVs.
As integration advisors to the City of Edmonton, the Stewart Group led the development of the Business Case and a procurement delivery model assessment. The Stewart Group continues to support the project through procurement readiness.
